Our goal at Emerald Home Inspections is to provide home and building buyers and owners with the most approachable, comprehensive inspection reports available. Our range of experience is what sets us apart.

Liam Henry, owner of Emerald Home Inspections is licensed in the state of Illinois and a Member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI). Since 1998, Liam has personally performed hundreds of inspections on a wide variety of property types as an independent contractor for several local companies.

In addition to his inspection work, Liam worked for 10 years as an independent construction and rehab contractor. He is also currently a Fire Marshall with the Chicago Fire Department, where he has served the residents of Chicago since 1990. As a part of his duties there he has worked closely with the City of Chicago Building Department in building code enforcement.
